I’m very blessed to have many, many treasured memories but I’ll choose this one:
It had been a long day and I was tired. I was snuggled in the bed with my three-year-old grandson, telling him a story and singing a couple of songs. A moment of quiet settled on us. He reached up and cupped my face in his small hand.
“I wuv you, Nannah,” he said. He said those simple words with such meaning and sincerity they went straight to my heart. I’ll never forget it.
Now, he and his family live very far away. I hold onto those few words, hold them deep in my heart.
